An Amazing "Drummer Boy"

Image
I am falling in love with Sean Quigley's  version Little Drummer Boy . It has a strong rock and roll influence, but maintains the timeless quality of the original carol. I'm amazed that this video was created by a 16 year old high school student from Winnipeg, Canada.

Doing What I Can't Explain

Have you ever had this sudden desire to do something, even though you can't explain exactly why  you're doing it? Well, that's what happened to me last night. I had this sudden desire to submit an updated version of my screenplay for The Roswell Chronicles  to the Toronto International Film Festival . It will be in their screenplay competition as a feature length science-fiction film. I didn't have any plans to submit the film when I woke up yesterday. I was doing something completely different with my life when I had a sudden desire to visit WithoutABox.com . Once there, I saw that TIFF was accepting screenplays for consideration and that yesterday was the deadline for regular submissions. At that point, I simply got hit with this desire to submit The Roswell Chronicles  that quite overwhelming. Anyway, I ended up submitting my script just a couple of hours before their deadline. Now, I wait to find out where it will go from here. Thankfully, I have several...

Happy Canada Day

Today is Canada's birthday. Therefore, I would like to take a moment to wish a very happy Canada Day to my neighbors to the south. And, yes, I do get a kick out of living in the only major city that can refer to Canada as its neighbors to the south.

Happy Thanksgiving

To everyone across the United States and to all of our troops overseas, I want to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving.  I hope that everyone gets all the turkey that they desire and that they calories magically disappear from one's waist line by Friday morning. To our neighbors to the south ( i.e. , my Canadian friends), I want to wish everyone of you a very happy Thursday . As for myself, I want to share with everyone two of the things that I am thankful for this year. Yes, I am a pervert.  I have come to accept this fact.

Happy 4th of July

To all of my friends and family across the U.S.A., I just want to say Happy 4th of July! And to all of my friends and family outside of the U.S.A., I just want to say Happy Saturday! (It always suprises me how many cool photos I can find on-line. God bless Google Images !)

Worried About Canada

I have to admit that I'm worried about our neighbors to the south. I mean, who else who put out a commercial that includes a rapping penis and a dancing vagina? Well, at least they would have never elected George W. Bush. And no pirates have ever attacked a Canadian ship. I guess, I could cut them some slack - but this rapping penis thing is still going to give me nightmares.

Stephen Colbert Worked With A Bear Sympathizer

I recently learned that one of the greatest of American heroes Stephen Colbert used to work with a bear sympathizer - but not just any kind of bear sympathizer - a Canadian bear sympathizer. Just look at this recently de-classified surveillance video. It clearly shows Rob Coddry , who worked with Stephen on that other television show , allowing a Canadian bear into his home where it was presumably given aide and comfort. The surveillance video is only 30 seconds long. One can only presume that everyone was malled to death after that point. I have to express my profound disappointment that Stephen didn't uncover this sooner. God only knows how many lives have been lost already.
