The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show just finished its annual telecast for 2011. It was another outstanding telecast. They refer to it as "the sexiest hour of television" and it certainly lived up to its billing. The outfits were amazing and sexy. The musical performances by Kanye West , Maroon 5 , and Nicki Minaj  were each top-notched as well. All of it added up to fantastic television. Personally, I would have liked to have seen less "behind the scenes" footage and more of the show itself. (In my opinion, "behind the scenes" stuff is better for the internet.) However, I have come to accept that I am in the minority opinion on that one.

Pink by Victoria's Secret introduced a new collection of outfits this afternoon that are inspired by the National Football League. This goes along with the ones that they already have for Major League Baseball.  I have to admit that I'm partial to their ones for the Detroit Lions, all things considered. They look sassy, original, and downright awesome. Of course, since this is Victoria's Secret and these are the Detroit Lions, I have to say that the Victoria's Secret crew will probably score more wins this season that the Detroit Lions will. But I doubt anyone will complain about their success.

Only 12 more hours, ladies and gentlemen. We only have to wait 12 more hours for the 2010 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show to air on CBS. I cringed a little bit when I heard that they were going back to the same place again this year instead of moving the show to a different venue, which is what they've been doing for several years. However, I've seen some of the previews of this one on YouTube. I think this will be their best one yet. And it all starts in 12 hours from now. I can hardly wait for this.

The folks at Victoria's Secret to wish a happy birthday to one of their angels, Lily, this afternoon on their Facebook page. Within 10 minutes of that being posted, there were more than 2,000 comments on that post. Spam Isn't For Birthdays Of those comments, a couple hundred were spammers of one variety or another. Each of them was hoping that people would visit this one completely unrelated link or another to see video of a man killing his wife, a report on why one should never drink soda again, or something else. All of them largely a ruse to drive lots of traffic to a spam centric web site. Welcome to the 21st century, ladies and gentlemen. The spam robots have even taken over the birthdays of beautiful, scantily dressed women. Is there nothing sacred in this world anymore? Anyway, in the event she ever finds this blog: Happy birthday, Lily. I hope you got presents better than spam today.

It looks like Detroit might finally have a winning football team . Not the Detroit Lions, mind you. Not even I am delusional enough to predict that. However, it does look like Detroit might soon be a part of the Lingerie Football League. This is a team where their fans win, no matter what the score board says.

I've been thinking about breast augmentation surgery a lot lately. It was one of those weird moments stemming from a recent weekend encounter where - okay, I'll just say it - I was reminded that it's possible to tell which part of a woman's breast is real and exactly where her implant starts, if she has one. Oh, and did I mention that the temperature of a woman's breast varies if she has an implant? The part of it that is an implant is colder than the natural part. This is also kind of disturbing. Very, very disturbing. It's enough to make me feel sorry for any guy who ends up in the bedroom with Heidi Montag . (I mean, not sorry by a lot. Just a little.) I posted here a couple of months ago about how a short video about kids playing a fire hydrant  got more views than almost any other video I had ever done. The fact of the matter is that people seem to like watch kids playing and having fun. However, as much as people seem to like watching kids playing in the water and having fun, it would appear that there is something that they enjoy even more. My video about the bikini car wash that a local bar had recently has gotten more views in the past two weeks that the kids playing in a fire hydrant one has gotten in a little over three months. From this, I can only conclude that boobs are more effective at attracting attention than kids playing. A list of the fifty hottest bikini photos from Victoria's Secret recently appeared in my in-box, complete with photos. Alessandra Ambrosio , Miranda Kerr , and Marisa Miller were all well represented along with a bevy of other beauties. I would like to take a moment to give thanks for my internet connection.

I was flipping through this month's issue of GQ . After spending an hour or so ogling Victoria's Secret model  Miranda Kerr , I eventually noticed the various articles. I even noticed the articles that didn't involve Miranda Kerr. But I digress. Anyway, once I was done reading the various articles, I eventually noticed the advertisements. In particular, I noticed all of the ads for cologne. There were a lot of ads for cologne, which isn't all that surprising. This was GQ , of course. The thing that surprised me was how may of them offered a free weekend bag as a gift when purchasing the advertised cologne. Curve. Calvin Klein. Zegna Colonia. If they offered a gift with purchase, it was always a weekend bag. I can't help but feel that this routine of offering a gift with purchase has become rather played out. There are too many people thinking the same thing, over and over again. And fashion should never be that boring or predictable.

There are early reports that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley  is set to replace Megan Fox  in Transformers 3 . She is currently a model for Victoria's Secret. There's a part of me that wonders if Rosie Huntington-Whitely can act.  However, I have to confess that there's an even larger part of me that, quite frankly, doesn't care.

I blogged previously about the challenges that are endemic when it comes to compiling lists of beautiful women (who is on it, who isn't, how high does each one rank, etc.). A friend of mine thus sent me a link to Pop Crunch of their 50 Hottest Victoria's Secret Models of All Time. I'm not certain if I agree with their ranks. ( Amanda Marcum at number 44?) The internet has created some interesting jobs. For example, there's actually someone at Izismile.com who got the job of creating their list of the Top 99 Most Beautiful Women of 2010 . It wasn't surprising to me that some of the beautiful women that I've blogged about before made their cut. Jessica Alba came in at number 5, for example. There were also several models from Victoria's Secret who made their list. This, also, was also incredibly not surprising. I would have also ranked Kristen Bell a lot higher than number 76, which is where the folks at Izismile.com ranked her. However,  that's just my opinion. Of course, the one aspect to lists like these that I've always found to be interesting who is not on it. I know there are a lot of beautiful women and a lot of beautiful celebrities. Michael Bay  made a commercial for Victoria's Secret that premiered earlier this month.  I'm posting it below, well, just because I can. I was talking about this with one of my film making friends over lunch today.  It goes without saying that this is a great commercial. The thing is, we soon found ourselves wondering: is it even possible to make a bad commercial for Victoria's Secret? I mean that quite literally. We couldn't think of any way in which one could make a bad Victoria's Secret commercial - at least if one assumes that this commercial involves the Victoria's Secret models and features them wearing their usual outfits. Of course, I'd like to open this up to my readers. Can anyone think of way in which someone could make a bad Victoria's Secret commercial? Please post your thoughts in my comments section below.

It took me many months, but I have finally finished compiling my Christmas wish list. One can find it below on the off chance that Santa Claus reads my blog. Kudos, by the way, to everyone at Victoria's Secret .  They posted this photo to their Facebook fan page, which is where I saw it.

Last night was the 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on CBS. In my humble opinion, it was the best one to date. The outfits. The sets. The music from the Black Eyed Peas. And, oh, those Angels. It was a fantastic show.

It's getting cold. Winter, unfortunately, will soon be here. Once upon a time, I used to believe that the best thing about winter was Christmas. I'm still a fan of Christmas, but these days I'm an even bigger fan of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. It's like Christmas, with extra cleavage. Ever since they started televising it, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show has been something that I look forward to. It's fun to watch and - well, let's face it - it has the Victoria's Secret models strutting around in those outfits. This year, however, I have to say that the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was kind of a disappointment. The show still had the Victoria's Secret models. No matter how bad everything else is, there will always be that as a redeeming quality. My problem with this year's show was that they seemed to put too much of an emphasis on the behind-the-scenes moments of the fashion show. This past week has been insane for me. There have been so many things that I really meant to blog about, but I simply haven't had a chance to sit down and recount them all. I mean, I did manage to find a chance to blog about the $5 million bra , but come on. I'm a guy. How could I not blog about that? Thursday, October 16 The interesting portion of my day started at 10:30 a.m. That was when I arrived at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel for an interview with Detroit Today on WDET. It was another chance for me to talk about how much I love that hotel and how I think it will be the catalyst for great things in downtown Detroit. Of course, being the guy that I am, I can't help but wonder about one thing. If a guy were to buy this for the woman in his life, would she still complain about the toilet seat being left up?
