Kristen Bell Re-Runs

Image
Kristen Bell Over and Over I have seen Kristen Bell's Neutrogena commercial a dozen times in the past 24 hours. Please don't get me wrong. I adore Kristen Bell. I also like Neutrogena and understand the value of repetition when it comes to advertising. However, there's a point where hearing the same thing simply becomes annoying. To the folks at Neutrogena, if you're going to put the Kristen Bell commercial in such heavy rotation, please do television audiences across America a favor and create more than one version of it. Update @ 8:35 p.m.  - I just saw that commercial for a 13th time.

Barcelona Bans Bikinis? Oh, the Brutality

Image
The city of Barcelona, Spain voted recently to ban wearing bikinis anywhere other than swimming pools, beaches, adjacent streets, and beach walks. Anyone caught wearing such an outfit could face a fine ranging from 120 - 300 euros, which translates into $178 - $445. Kristen Can't Wear This in Barcelona Quite frankly, I'm not sure what part of this news disturbs me more. Is it the fact that there will presumably be fewer women wondering the streets of the second largest city in Spain in skimpy bikinis? Or could it be that I have now seen one more reminder of the fact that the Euro is worth 48% more than the U.S. dollar? It's really hard to say which one is more troubling to me. I might have to spend some more time looking at this photo of Kristen Bell  in a bikini and report back.

Whitney Port Proves Me Wrong

Image
Whitney Port in MAXIM Earlier this year , I posted that while Whitney Port is a talented fashion designer, she might not have belonged on the annual list of the 99 Most Beautiful Women of the Internet with others like Jessica Alba , Kristen Bell , and Hayden Panettierre . Since then, she has proven me wrong. Whitney Port recently did a lingerie photo shoot, which will appear in the January 2011 issue of Maxim . Suffice it to say, I believe these photos put to rest any doubts as to whether or not she is one of the most beautiful women of the internet. Ms. Port, please accept my apology.

Kristen Bell in a Bikini

Kristen Bell Doesn't Need a Boob Job I should have posted about this earlier, but I've busy with all of my posts about boob jobs and such. Anyway, I failed to comment on Kristen Bell's appearance on the cover of Shape magazine in a pink bikini. I'll just say it - it's rather obvious that Kristen Bell has never had a boob job. I like her for that fact. Well, actually, her lack of a boob job is only one of about a dozen reasons why I like her. But I digress. Anyway, I just want to say that Kristen Bell looks awesome in that bikini.

Most Beautiful Jobs on the Internet

Image
The internet has created some interesting jobs. For example, there's actually someone at Izismile.com who got the job of creating their list of the Top 99 Most Beautiful Women of 2010 . It wasn't surprising to me that some of the beautiful women that I've blogged about before made their cut. Jessica Alba came in at number 5, for example. There were also several models from Victoria's Secret who made their list. This, also, was also incredibly not surprising. I would have also ranked Kristen Bell a lot higher than number 76, which is where the folks at Izismile.com ranked her. However,  that's just my opinion. Of course, the one aspect to lists like these that I've always found to be interesting who is not on it. I know there are a lot of beautiful women and a lot of beautiful celebrities. In fact, I'm often quite thankful for these facts. Still, there are certain omissions this list of beautiful women that simply leave me puzzled. How can any...

Bikini Hero

Image
I was surfing the web last night, looking for more news on Kristen Bell . I came across this post on TMZ.com about Kristen at the beach . They were critical of the photo of her to the left, but admired her in the one to the right. I don't care what the folks at TMZ say. Granny shades or not. Hair up or down. Kristen Bell looks darn hot.

Kam & Kristen by Night Light

The good folks at Google Analytics tell me that the single most visited page on my blog is my Kam Carman experiment from this past March . 9 months later and it's still the most visited entry, bringing in close to 500 page hits every month. In second place for the most traffic generating post is my commentary from a few weeks ago about Kristen Bell's interview in the December issue of Ambassador magazine . The bronze medal, by the way, goes to my post about cool night lights from August of last year . A part of me can't help but wonder: what would happen if I were to combine all of these things into one blog post? Would this blog actually explode from all of the traffic? What if I were to write about a fictional evening in which Kam Carman tells Kristen Bell all of the nitty, gritty details of her divorce - from who cheated on who to the threats of lawsuits that Kam Carman used to keep the story quiet? I doubt Kam Carman would ever divulge those details willingly. H...

Kristen Bell in Ambassador

Image
I was flipping through this month's issue of Ambassador . I saw their headline Kristen Bell: Hometown Girl to Hero and, well, let's face it - any time a magazine puts the words "Kristen" and "Bell" on their cover, it's pretty much guaranteed to grab my attention. For the benefit of anyone who didn't already know this, Kristen Bell grew up in one of Detroit's suburbs, Huntington Woods to be specific. She graduated from Shrine Catholic High School before heading off to New York for college and her career. The folks at Ambassador asked her a series of questions about growing up in the Detroit area. I couldn't help notice something peculiar in her answers though. She didn't say that she was from Detroit. Instead, she said that she was from the Midwest. Let me recap this for everyone. Kristen Bell is from Huntington Woods, but when asked about growing up she did not say she's from Huntington Woods. Kristen Bell did not say tha...

Solar Bra Means Heart-Felt Conservation

Image
I have always been fascinated by women's breasts. From the modest cleavage of Keira Knightley or Kristen Bell to the more ample endowment of Mélissa Theuriau or Jessica Alba , there's just something about them that attracts my attention. I suppose that's why, when I heard about the new solar bra that was unveiled in Tokyo, I couldn't help but pay attention to it. This bra is embedded with solar panels that will actually generate electricity as they are exposed to sun light. The most obvious downside to this is that those solar panels won't work when they're covered by other articles of clothing. As a result, this is really more one of those products that is intended to prompt discussion about renewable energy and seeing potential in every day things than an actual source of electrical energy. Of course, it does also demonstrate the power of cleavage.

Undefendable Defense

Image
In roughly 12 hours from now, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy will announce whether or not she intends to charge Detroit's Mayor Kwame M. Kilpatrick with a felony in connection with his less than honest testimony under oath and, if so, just what charges he will face. I previously posted on my other blog that I had done an informal survey of the attorneys that I know and they were evenly split as to whether or not Mayor Kilpatrick's misdeeds met the legal definitions of perjury . I know that Mayor Kilpatrick's attorneys have to pursue a vigorous defense for their client. However, I was surprised to read in the Detroit Free Press recently that they would challenge the authenticity of the infamous text messages. Specifically, the paper reports that defense lawyers will challenge the Prosecutor to prove whose fingers where on keys when those racy messages were sent. If there was only one or two messages in question then this might actually be a smart strategy. If n...
