3D printing has been around for awhile now, but it has finally come up with something that truly grabs my attention. They have finally started to use 3D printers to make custom bikinis . Unfortunately, no one has come up with a way to use a 3D printer to create a bikini model. I suppose that will come with a future upgrade. For now, we have to do it the old-fashioned way - either pay them lots of cash to show up or convince them you're European royalty.

The Women Bringing You Sandwiches page on Facebook is organizing their 3rd annual "Women Bringing You Sandwiches Day" on May 17. The vast majority of people who have found this page appear to enjoy it for the good heartened joke that it was intended to be. However, there is a certain segment of the internet population that have responded with profanity laced insults, not only for the organizers of this but for those who would participate in it. Women Bring Sammiches - And Controversy It's both amazing and, quite frankly, a little depressing that something as simple as woman bringing a sandwich can prompt tirades of profanity and stupidity. I know that there is something about the internet that always brings out the craziest of the crazies. I'm also relieved to note that for every one person who left a such post, there are approximately a hundred other Facebook users who are sensible about it. Simone Farrow: International Drug Kingpin? Famed bikini model Simone Farrow  was arrested recently in her native Australia . Police allege that she was the mastermind behind an international drug cartel that traffic in methamphetamines between the United States and Australia. My first thought upon reading of Simone Farrow's arrest was: well, that's one way to stuff a bikini. Although, I have to admit that Simone Farrow's arrest does turn an interesting page. A lot of models over the years have gone to great lengths to prove that they can do more than just look good in a bikini. Simone Farrow one-upped all of them by being the mastermind of an international crime syndicate. And, yes, I do realize how terrible all of these thoughts are.

Nancy Dell'Olio in "Hello!" Magazine My Google News Alerts will blowing up recently with updates about  Nancy Dell'Olio's   bikini photo shoot for Hello!  magazine . Once I saw the photos, I have to say that I wasn't surprised to see so many people talking about it. Not only did Nancy Dell'Olio and the folks at Hello!  recreate the famous bikini scene from Dr. No, but they proved that this woman still looks awesome at 50. Quite frankly, I think Nancy Dell'Olio looks better in a bikini in age 50 than some woman in their 20s do.

Whitney Port's Falling Bikini Photos surfaced on the internet earlier this week of  Whitney Port's  bikini top suddenly falling off while she was in Miami. She managed to cover herself up (mostly) with her hands, revealing only a little bit of her nipples.  Of course, there just happened to be a photographer nearby when this happened - and Whitney Port just happened to be facing the camera, having covered herself up in the nick of time. Panama City Beach, Florida is preparing to beat the existing world record for the largest bikini parade during Spring Break 2012, with a little help from BP, according to the Panama City Beach Spring Break website, springbreakfunplace.com . The current world record was set at Surfers Paradise Beach of Gold Coast, Australia in October 2011, where 357 women paraded in an attempt which beat the former record of 331 women in the Cayman Islands. Dan Rowe of the Panama City Beach Tourist Development Council hopes to beat the current record during Spring Break 2012. “It’s a way for the students to come down and participate in a fun activity,” according to Rowe. “It is good clean fun.” The funding for the record attempt comes from a $250,000 portion of a $7 million BP marketing budget. Courtney Stodden Looks Both Naughty and Nice Courtney Stodden posed for a series of photos with her husband, Doug Hutchinson , which almost make one forget that she is only 17 years old and her husband is 51. She looks quite naughty in her metallic red bikini. Her husband is almost completely hidden by the Santa Claus costume. She Wears an Yellow Bikini in Honor of Lee Pockriss Lee Pockriss , who wrote such catchy songs as "Itsy, Bitsy, Teeny, Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini", passed away at his home last week at the age of 87. He went on to write music for The Muppets  as well as movies like Sister Act 2  and Revenge of the Nerds 2 . Lee Pockriss will be missed by all who love music.

Better Looking Than A Power Tool An article published in Scientific American  recently suggests that men tend to view a woman dressed in a bikini in much the same way that they would view tools. Quite frankly, I find this conclusion hard to believe. Perhaps we should test this theory by having a group of women walk around town in bikinis, with each one carrying a power tool. This would be purely in the interest of science, of course.

Kristen Haglund Wants in Your In-Box My latest side project is the Bikini Day blog, which on-line here . I have a lot of blog posts that involve women in a bikini or in lingerie and there's potential for a lot more of them. I decided to move all of them to a separate site. I started the site with a few of my older bikini posts. I will add a new one every day. (Hence the name, Bikini Day.) This enables me to keep the bikini and lingerie stuff around without it getting in the way of all of my other posts. Women in bikinis do tend to grab lots of attention and it sort dominates my blog as a result. As an added bonus, this also enables me to experiment with a few things that I may or may not incorporate in this blog or my neighborhood one . I have just seen an amazing rack. And yes, I am talking about the pool balls that were racked in EyeHandy's latest instructional video, " How to Rack 9-Ball Pool with Savannah ." Or am I?

I came across the wonder of EyeHandy.com , which uses beautiful women in bikinis or lingerie to explain how to do certain things. Their most recent one introduces use the beautiful and talented Chelsea who shows us how to clean any mirror spotlessly  without any streaks, lint, or residue left behind. If you'll excuse me, thanks to Chelsea and the team at EyeHandy, I have a sudden desire to clean every mirror in my home. And for any raging feminist who happens to find this blog post, before you post any comments, I will simply ask: when was the last time you came across a bachelor who was suddenly motivated to do housework without any complaints?

357 Women - the Biggest Bikini Parade Once again, I am profoundly glad to have an internet connection. Without it, I wouldn't have known that 357 women in bikinis gathered on Australia's Gold Coast to set a Guinness World Record for the biggest-ever bikini parade. They squashed the previous record, which was 331 women parading in a bikini. That record was set in Cayman Islands last year. I was playing around with some stock footage and music last weekend. The end result of it was, well, this short video below. I was experimenting to see if I could create an interesting video that was done with nothing but stock images. This isn't the greatest example ever, but I think it's interesting.

TheChive.com posted its collection of 39 women with future lower back problems recently. All of them, of course, were photographed in bikinis or skimpy lingerie. I was actually a little surprised by the photos that they posted. A couple of those ladies might have actually had real boobs.

Kristin Cavallari in a Glass Bikini The folks at Diesel rolled out cobalt blue glass bikini for fashion week in Miami. Yes, it's a bikini that is made out of glass. I presume, of course, that they did this as a publicity stunt because, well, I can't really imagine any woman buying and wearing a bikini that's made out of glass. And it worked by the way. A quick check of Google shows that there are 41 million search results for "glass bikini." Almost all of those are for the bikini that Diesel showed in Miami. Now, I could make a wise crack about how it would take a diamond to cut a bikini like this. However,  Kristin Cavallari , the woman who modeled this glass bikini, just announced her engagement so that diamond wisecrack is just well... I won't go there any farther than I already did.

Kirsten Haglund's Outfit is 65 Years Old Today is the 65th anniversary of the introduction of bikini by French engineer Louis Reard . In honor of this distinct anniversary, I thought about posting a photo of a 65 year old woman in a bikini. Or maybe a 65 year old man chasing a young woman in a bikini. However, it suddenly occurred to me that it would be much better to simply post a photo of Miss America 2008  Kirsten Haglund  in a bikini instead. You're welcome, internet.

This Bikini Charges Your Phone Andrew Schneider  is an inventor from New York and a certifiable genius, in my opinion. He has developed a solar-powered bikini that is capable of charging an iPod, iPhone, or any other standard USB device. I can simply imagine the pick-up lines that a woman will hear while wearing this one at the beach. Do we live in exciting times or what?

The city of Barcelona, Spain voted recently to ban wearing bikinis anywhere other than swimming pools, beaches, adjacent streets, and beach walks. Anyone caught wearing such an outfit could face a fine ranging from 120 - 300 euros, which translates into $178 - $445. Kristen Can't Wear This in Barcelona Quite frankly, I'm not sure what part of this news disturbs me more. Is it the fact that there will presumably be fewer women wondering the streets of the second largest city in Spain in skimpy bikinis? Or could it be that I have now seen one more reminder of the fact that the Euro is worth 48% more than the U.S. dollar? It's really hard to say which one is more troubling to me. I might have to spend some more time looking at this photo of Kristen Bell  in a bikini and report back.

Taylor Swift in the Bahamas Taylor Swift  was in the Bahamas recently. I'm not sure what the purpose of her visit was - whether it was a vacation or business - but I do know that I like this photo of her there. With this photo, Taylor Swift very well may be the new spokesperson for the Islands of the Bahamas. I know I certainly want to head there after seeing this photo. Thank you, Taylor Swift, for helping me make my vacation plans.
