RIP Sparky Anderson

Sparky Anderson
Hall of Fame baseball manager Sparky Anderson passed away this morning at the age of 76. After a successful career with the Cincinnati Reds, he led the Detroit Tigers to a world series championship in 1984.

Sparky Anderson will be missed by all Detroiters and baseball fans everywhere.

Rest in peace, George "Sparky" Anderson.

I don't really follow baseball and I know who this guy is. Sad....

I believe the truly impressive part of this is that not only do you not follow baseball, but you don't live in either of the cities where Sparky managed. In spite of this, you still know who he is.

But, yes, his passing is sad for all of us who are left behind.
