Go Endeavor! Go!

The Space Shuttle Endeavor launched this morning in a textbook perfect launch from the Kennedy Space Center. This was the final launch of Endeavor before it is retired and the second to last launch of shuttle program.

For anyone who missed it, video from the Endeavor launch is available below.

Sigh.....the end of an era.

One era is coming to an end and a new one is about to begin. A lot what the shuttle has been doing (launching and servicing satellites as well as ferrying supplies and crew for the ISS) will soon be done by private companies that will be launching their own commercial space flights.

It's time for NASA to go deeper into space and explore farther than any private contract ever could do.
